    For three years we have been running this great native plant sale at the beginning of May, and in 2013 we added a pre-order option for all who bought Festival tickets. This allowed Festival goers to select from among 90 different species of native plants for sale, and to purchase most of these species in any quantity desired! Having access to such a variety of native plants through a single supplier is almost undeard of. And in fact, we were procured these plants from 10 different nurseries to get them to you. A big thanks go to all our donors, sponsors, and wonderful volunteers who made this Festival happen.

    Around Mother’s Day and for about 3 weeks afterwards, locals (and visitors who have local friends) make annual treks to the azalea (and rhododendron) gardens found on the Kinney property located on Rte. 108 in South Kingstown, RI. This family has generously opened their gardens to share its beauty. They also sell many species they have propagated. The grounds are vast and one can easily spend an hour walking around. Often, artists will set up easels to capture the vibrant with paint.

    The Garden Tour will take place on two days, Friday and Saturday – rain or shine. Each of the nine private gardens reflects the individual interests and passions of the owners and their families and will inspire both new gardeners designing their first perennial bed and accomplished landscapers with acres of ‘garden rooms.’ The tour of the Concord-area gardens is self-guided and self-paced, beginning at the Museum to pickup maps prior to starting out. Tickets are good for either or both days, but each garden may be visited only once.
